What We Do
Log Purchase
- We buy hardwood logs

Grading Rules
Prime: 18"+ diameter, 10'+ length, no visible defects, clear 4 sides, no rot, no shake, fresh cut
#1 Grade: 16"+ diameter, 8'+ length, clear 3 sides, no rot, no shake, fresh cut
#2 Grade: 14"+ diameter, 8'+ length, clear 2 sides, fresh cut
#3 Grade: 12"+ diameter, 8'+ length, clear 1 sides, fresh cut
Any log showing blue/black stain won't be scaled.
Sawyer Services
- Sawing rate: $65/hour, one hour minimum
- $30 blade fee if we hit metal
- Wood-Mizer LT50 Wide bandsaw mill, 34.5" max cut
- Granberg Alaskan Mill, 56" max cut for large live edge slabs
- Flat stack lumber, strap, and load (no charge, customer will need to stack/sticker lumber for proper air drying)
- Stickers available for $0.70 each
- Stack lumber on drying pallet with strap: 4'x8'-$33, 4'x10'-$43, 4'x12'-$50 plus stickers, will help load
- Delivery charge - $1/mile
Kiln Drying
- Stack/sticker lumber on drying pallet
- Air dry to < 25% moisture content
- iDry Air Kiln
- $0.75/board foot
- Typical max drying times for 4/4 (1 inch) and 8/4 (2 inch) in weeks:
Softwood: 1-2, 2-3
Maple Soft: 1-2, 2-3
Popular: 1-2, 3-4
